Product Description

Tower Light Base Modules for Electrical Connection and Mounting Interface

The Base Selection for Tower Lights covers the range of base module variants available for Esbee tower light assemblies — providing the electrical connection interface, mounting attachment point, and control input configuration that forms the foundation of each tower light installation. The base module is the component through which the tower light receives its power supply and control signals, and through which it interfaces with the machine control system or PLC output that drives the status signalling. Selecting the correct base variant is therefore the first and most fundamental specification decision in any tower light installation.

Tower light base modules are available in configurations that support the most common industrial signal drive methods: discrete input bases accept individual on/off control signals for each colour segment from PLC digital outputs; serial communication bases accept compact serial data frames that encode all segment states in a single communication from the controller, simplifying wiring at the cost of controller programming; and combined bases support both discrete and serial input modes for maximum installation flexibility. The correct base selection matches the machine control system's output capability and the installation's wiring infrastructure to the tower light's signal architecture.

The base also provides the primary mechanical attachment point for the tower light assembly — securing the tower column to the machine structure, panel surface, or mounting accessory at the bottom of the assembly. The base footprint and fixing arrangement determine the stability of the tower light installation, and the base's dimensional interface with the column modules above it is the mechanical datum from which the entire tower assembly is referenced. Using the correct base for the specific tower light family ensures correct column engagement, signal conductor continuity, and structural integrity of the complete assembly.

For machine builders, panel designers, and installation engineers who need to specify the correct base module for a new tower light installation or replace a failed base in an existing assembly, the base selection range provides the variants needed to match every standard control system interface and mounting requirement.
