The SLPS Series Plastic Limit Switches are a screw-terminal-entry variant of the plastic housing limit switch range, providing the same actuator variant range as the SLPB series in a housing configured for direct screw terminal cable connection rather than conduit entry — enabling faster, simpler wiring of the limit switch during machine building and simplifying field maintenance interventions that require switch replacement without the need for conduit fitting removal and refitting. Available in eight actuator variants mirroring the SLPB series geometry range, the SLPS series is the wiring-optimised plastic limit switch for installations where direct screw terminal connection to the switch is preferable to conduit-based cable entry.

The screw terminal entry approach benefits machine builders in several practical ways. Direct terminal connection eliminates the cable gland and conduit fitting that conduit-entry switches require, reducing the component count and installation time per switch position. During machine commissioning, individual switch connections can be verified and adjusted at the switch terminal without disturbing cable dressing or conduit routing. And during maintenance switch replacements, the terminal screws allow the replacement switch to be wired in quickly without the thread engagement and sealing concerns associated with conduit fitting reuse.

The SLPS actuator variant range provides the same eight actuation geometries as the SLPB series: A1 standard roller lever, F6 and F7 adjustable roller lever variants, B2 fork roller, RM rotating multi-directional head, LP long roller lever, EE coil spring, and D push plunger — ensuring that any application requiring a screw-terminal plastic limit switch can be served by the correct actuator geometry for the cam approach and engagement conditions of the specific installation.

The RM rotating multi-directional variant in the SLPS series deserves specific note: this actuator configuration provides sensing capability from multiple cam approach directions from a single switch position, reducing the switch count and wiring requirements in applications where a machine element may approach the switch from different directions depending on the operational sequence. This is the plastic series equivalent of the M-series multi-direction variants in the metal-plastic hybrid range.

Contact block specification, IP protection, and IEC 60947-5-1 compliance are maintained to the same standard as the SLPB conduit-entry series, ensuring that the SLPS series is electrically and functionally equivalent to the SLPB series — the only difference being the cable entry method that simplifies direct-terminal wiring in installations where conduit entry is not required or preferred.
