Product Description

Two-Element Gen Next Control Stations for Start/Stop, Up/Down, and Emergency Control Combinations

Variants covered: Flush Head Two Push Buttons Station · Flush Head & E Stop Push Buttons Station

Gen Next Two Push Button Stations are compact, two-element industrial control stations providing the most commonly specified two-function control combinations for machine and process operation — housed in a single, compact Gen Next series enclosure that puts both controls within easy reach of a single operator from a single mounted position. Available in two configurations — dual flush head and flush head with emergency stop — the Gen Next two-station range covers the primary two-function control requirements across the range of industrial machine control applications.

The Flush Head Two Push Buttons Station provides two flush head push button elements in a single station body — the standard configuration for any machine or process that requires two control inputs from a single operator position. The most common application is START and STOP motor control, where two push buttons provide run and halt commands to a motor starter or drive. The dual flush head station is equally applicable to two-function conveyor control, two-axis hoist control, valve open/close operation, and any other process where two discrete control commands must be available from the same station.

The Flush Head and E Stop Push Buttons Station combines a flush head push button with a mushroom head emergency stop element — the most fundamental two-function machine control combination in industrial automation. This station configuration puts the machine's operational control (typically START or JOG) and its emergency stop function in a single, compact station that can be positioned at the optimal operator location on the machine. The emergency stop element uses the push turn release convention, remaining engaged after activation until deliberately reset — meeting the emergency stop function requirements of machine safety standards for manually operated stop devices.

The integration of emergency stop and operational control in a single station is a space and cost efficiency that is appropriate for machines where the control station layout allows both functions to be served from a single mounting position, and where the proximity of the E-stop to the operational control is acceptable under the machine's risk assessment. For machines where the emergency stop must be physically separated from operational controls to prevent confusion, separate single stations provide the architectural flexibility that dual stations cannot.

Gen Next platform quality is maintained across both two-station variants — consistent button feel, reliable contact switching, and the industrial environmental protection of IP65 sealing that makes Gen Next stations suitable for the full range of manufacturing and process control environments.
